The Indian premium decorative lighting industry is looking to increase domestic value addition in order to reduce imports. Usha International, a major player in the industry, expects the level of localisation to double in the next three years. Currently, most of the imports come from China. The company believes that the revival in the housing and hospitality sectors will support greater local manufacturing.
