India in talks with 22 countries for bilateral trade in Rupee: FM Sitharaman

India is in talks with 22 countries to conduct bilateral trade in the Indian rupee, according to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. India has taken measures to encourage the use of the rupee for international transactions, including establishing special rupee vostro accounts with domestic banks and granting permission for banks from 18 countries to open Special Vostro Rupee Accounts.
