Intrusion Detection System will detect elephants approaching railway tracks: Officials
The East Coast of Railway is introducing an Intrusion Detection System for elephant movement areas to avoid accidents between trains and elephants. The system will send alerts to the local pilot, station master and manager as elephants approach railway tracks. This multifaceted system will be able to detect natural phenomena that could damage the tracks as well as illegal digging.
