Foreign investors are on track to tie a record streak of selling Chinese stocks for nine consecutive days, as worsening sentiment on the nation's economy and the government's efforts to get it back on track weigh down on the sector. Overseas funds had sold over CNY1bn ($137m) worth of equities listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen as of noon on Thursday, marking the longest stretch of selling since December 2016.
