Eyes peeled on the piling food app bill
After the Central Consumer Protection Authority barred hotels and restaurants from automatically adding service charge on bills, food delivery platforms like Zomato and Swiggy have started charging extra fees to customers. Zomato recently introduced a ₹2 platform fee in certain markets, while both companies have an optional tipping system for delivery partners.
