​​​Air India's customers have changed as well: flying at home and abroad is far more commonplace and less 'maharegal' as a status symbol, but with standards for hospitality and timeliness being held by the competition. The Tatas have been in the field for some time with both budget and full-service airlines, and will want to incorporate those experiences into the Air India story.
