Original 2007 iPhone creates a new record, fetches $190K at New York auction
A first-generation 4GB iPhone has been sold at auction for $190,373, which is almost 380 times its original price of $499 when the device first went on sale in 2007. The rare model is 20 times rarer than the 8GB model sold at the time and was discontinued two months after launch.
