Gujarat in talks with Foxconn for its semiconductor plant

Foxconn is in talks with India's Gujarat state to build a semiconductor plant after the Taiwanese company's $19.5bn joint-venture plan with Vedanta broke down, according to a top government official. Vijay Nehra, secretary of the science and technology department in Gujarat, said his state is "uniquely positioned to attract top chipmakers."
