Sebi enhances accountability of mutual fund' Trustees

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has outlined new responsibilities for mutual fund Trustees to protect unit holders' interests. Trustees will be responsible for ensuring fees and expenses are fair, preventing mis-selling and fraudulent transactions, and monitoring system-level checks to prevent market abuse and front running.
