G20 panel moots development banks' greater engagement with private sector

A G20 panel, co-chaired by economist N K Singh and former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, has submitted recommendations for a blue-print reform of multilateral development banks (MDBs), which includes a target of $300bn annually of own-account non-concessional finance by 2030, expert engagement with the private sector and a greater focus on eliminating poverty.
