It's been over two months since internecine violence broke out between Meiteis, and Kukis and Nagas in Manipur. The clashes have left over 100 dead, 400 wounded and 60,000 displaced. The actual numbers could be higher. On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took stock of the situation, and chief minister Biren Singh promised to reach out to all groups to end the violence. Such an adhesive appeal should be amplified.
