Malayalam actor CV Dev passed away at the age of 83 while undergoing treatment for age-related ailments at Kozhikode Medical College. He acted in over 100 films and several plays, mostly playing comedy roles. CV Dev made his acting debut in 1959 with the Malayalam play 'Vilakkinte Velichathil'.
