2 lost Rembrandt portraits forgotten about for 200 years may sell for £8 mn at Amsterdam auction

Christie's auction house is set to sell a pair of Rembrandt portraits that were owned by a British family for 200 years, and were sold at Christie's in 1824. The paintings, which could fetch between £5m ($6.5m) and £8m, depict Jan Willemsz van der Pluym,an elderly plumber, and his wife Jaapgen Carels.
