The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is launching a new program in July, reducing articleship to two years, and plans to establish reading rooms and counselling centres across 700 districts of India. The ICAI also intends to open a centre of excellence with residential facilities in Srinagar for CA students and skill updation courses for qualified CAs. Additionally, 75% fee waivers are being provided to encourage students from J&K and Ladakh to start preparing for the course after 10th standard and appear in the foundation level examination after 12th standard.
