Sebi proposes more disclosures from ‘high-risk’ foreign funds

Sebi is seeking more disclosure from foreign portfolio investment firms with large holdings in local stocks. Firms categorised as high risk will need additional compliance within six months of these norms being implemented, which will include a need to submit ownership details. Concentrated investments in a single company pose a risk that corporate groups could use FPI routes to avoid regulations.
