SEBI's new norms on mutual fund expense ratios may seem negative, but the overall trend for mutual fund investments in the country has been positive, according to market expert Mahantesh Sabarad. He believes the industry has been successful in weathering previous storms and doesn't see any issues in terms of fund size growing. Urban consumption volume growth is still tepid, but rural growth may start bouncing back with favorable weather and decreasing inflation.
