Indian liquefied natural gas (LNG) buyers are seeking long-term supply deals to prevent exposure to volatile spot markets and protect themselves from future price surges. Companies including Petronet LNG, GAIL India, and Indian Oil Corp are in negotiations with suppliers in the US, Qatar and the UAE to secure 20-year agreements.
