Indian IT companies are implementing cost-cutting measures to address overcapacity amid the layoffs undertaken by global IT giants. The measures include rationalising workforce expenses, reducing bench period thresholds and freezing the variable pay of resources with low utilisation. Many companies have tightened hiring approval ladders and deferring campus onboarding dates. Vice versa, some organisations are doubling down on their automation initiatives.
