Satcom companies ask In-SPACe to look into spectrum allocation mode

Satcom Industry Association of India (SIA India) has requested the Indian space industry regulator, IN-SPACe, to examine the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's discussion paper on the spectrum allocation mode for space services, claiming that it seems to be an attempt to compel the auction of satellite spectrum, which goes against international standards. SIA India has asked IN-SPACe to intervene as it could disrupt the satellite sector's momentum.
