Most Indian consumers want new smartphone series models to cost no more than 5-10% of the current version’s price, according to a survey by Techarc. Consumers expect new editions to have e-sims, wireless charging, IP67 water and dust protection, and to show fast and improved performance making the chipset a key component, the report found. Apple’s iPhone was the most eagerly anticipated new model for 79% of respondents, followed by OnePlus in the Android ecosystem.
