Asia Pacific to contribute more than 70% of global growth in 2023: IMF
IMF earlier had pared its forecast for India’s growth to 5.9% from 6.1% for the current fiscal year, while painting a bleak picture for the world economy battling tightening financing conditions even as the Russia-Ukraine war rages on and the pandemic lingers. It has now forecast an acceleration in the GDP growth rate for the Asia Pacific region from 3.8 per cent last year to 4.6 per cent in 2023
