Gautam Adani counters Rahul Gandhi's Rs 20,000 cr claim, says $2.6 bn stake sale money came in group firms

Indian billionaire Gautam Adani's group has published details of $2.87bn in stake sales in the conglomerate's firms since 2019 to counter Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's claims that shell companies had poured Rs 20,000 crore ($2.7bn) into the company. The Adani group said these funds were reinvested to support new and portfolio businesses, while investors, including International Holding Company PJSC, put $2.6bn into group firms.
