Adani Power begins power supply to Bangladesh

Adani Power has commissioned the first 800 MW ultra-super-critical thermal power generation unit at Godda in the Jharkhand district and begun supplying 748 MW of power to neighbouring Bangladesh. The company claimed the plant is the most environment-friendly and efficient thermal power installation in India and SE Asia, and among the best in class in the world. The Godda plant is powered by the latest ultra-super-critical technology and has installed techniques for controlling emissions and consumption of coal and water, and started its operation with 100% flue gas desulphurisation, zero water discharge and selective catalytic reduction.
