Mobile users unlikely to get relief from pesky calls, text messages soon, say telco executives
Senior industry executives said a possible solution to the pesky calls problem is for either the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) or the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) coming out with a uniform caller ID verification app akin to the Truecaller platform. Mobile phone users across India can then download the app to block unwanted commercial calls and text messages.
