Over 50% of office leasing deals of the IT office locations of Hyderabad, Pune, and Bengaluru were for spaces measuring over 1 lakh sq ft, according to a Knight Frank India study. Office leasing in 2022 was over 51 million sq ft, historically the second-best with the IT/ITeS driven markets having over 50% of total office leasing from occupiers over 1 lakh sq ft. Kolkata and Chennai offices were leased in sizes below 50k sq ft, while Ahmedabad, NCR, and Mumbai witnessed higher transactions in the 50k-1 lakh sq ft category.
