"India by far was the strongest recovery market when you look at the full year," said Rajeev Menon, president, Asia-Pacific (excluding Greater China), Marriott International. "Across Asia-Pacific, we have seen pretty strong recovery coming out of the second quarter of last year because if you look back at Asia-Pacific, including India, to some degree, the markets were predominantly closed through the first quarter." Most Asian markets began opening up in phases through last summer.
