There have been signs of revival of rural demand for FMCG recently. According to Nomura, staples companies reported green shoots of recovery in rural demand with the pressure on volumes appearing to have bottomed out. Nomura expects the fourth quarter to be better than the third and the momentum to improve at the start of the next fiscal.
