Zoya Akhtar strikes again, gets nominated for an Emmy Award for Lust Stories!

Mumbai: Ace director Zoya Akhtar is on the forefront of creating content that breaks stereotypes and creates waves not just in India but internationally as well.

The director was one of the people who directed one of the stories in the recently Emmy nominated anthology 'Lust Stories'. This is not the first time the director has received global acclaim as she was also one of the few Indians who was nominated to become a member of the Oscar Academy earlier this year.

Her movie 'Gully Boy' which was initially premiered at Berlin and now is all set to release in Japan soon has been one of the biggest movies of Bollywood in 2019. Further, her web series 'Made In Heaven' is considered one of the highest-rated Hindi shows on an OTT platform.

Adding to the feathers on her hat is the award that she received for 'Most Powerful Woman In Business'.

With a journey of four feature films, two short films, and one web series, Zoya Akhtar is one of the leading filmmakers who has carved her niche into the entertainment industry. With collaboration with Excel Entertainment, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti's Tiger Baby has created a mark with their very first two projects.

Zoya is currently working on her new film 'Ghost Stories'.
