40% of e-ricks may be illegally on roads, Centre plans a relook

Speaking at the launch “Road Safety Good Practices in India” by SaveLife Foundation, a study prepared by a non-profit organisation, and World Bank, Kundra said while e-rickshaws were not allowed on major roads, now these are all over and many of them don’t have the required registration with the transport department. The officer said the share of such unregistered vehicles could be as high as 40%.
