On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, around 7,700 vehicles were sold in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with 5,500 two-wheelers and 2,200 cars being delivered. Across the state, a total of 25,000 two-wheelers and 8,500 cars were sold, indicating a 12% rise in sales compared to last year. However, the overall demand for two-wheelers was not as expected due to delayed salary bonuses and new registration norms by the RTO. On the other hand, the easing of semiconductor supply constraints led to good sales of cars, especially SUVs.
