Air pollution in Delhi: Metro to add 20 more trips, DTC to run e-shuttle buses

The Delhi Metro and Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will increase their services in response to the rising pollution levels in the city. The Delhi Metro has already added 40 additional trips on weekdays and will now add 20 more trips across its network. The DTC has been instructed to start 128 shuttle bus services on congested routes and will hire 1,000 private buses for the same purpose. The Delhi government has also launched an awareness campaign called "Red Light On, Gaadi Off" to encourage people to switch off their vehicles at traffic signals to reduce pollution.
