Delhi govt may pay INR 415 cr as last instalment of RapidX share soon

The Delhi government is expected to make a payment of INR 415 crore towards the construction of the Delhi-Meerut corridor of RapidX. The government's total contribution to the 82.15-km corridor is estimated at INR 1,180 crore. A stretch of 13 km of the corridor is within Delhi, and Sarai Kale Khan will be the largest transport hub in the city. The government will use the environment compensation charge (ECC) collected from goods vehicles entering the capital to make the payment. Two more corridors, Delhi to Alwar and Delhi to Panipat, are also being planned.
