Chinese blogger offers ‘free sex’ to gain followers, gets arrested for prostitution

A 19-year-old Chinese blogger was arrested and imprisoned on charges of prostitution when she offered "free sex" on social media. Ye Mouyi, with online handle Qianjin Yeye, uploaded a geo-tagged message on Chinese social media site Weibo and messaging app WeChat on March 1. The message read, "Somebody come get me ... Sex ... for free ... 6316," and came with a video of a woman in a hotel room wearing only her undergarments. According to Chinese news site ifeng.com via News.co.au, the incident happened at the Hilton Hotel in Haitang Bay, Sanya City, Hainan Province.
