MRT train skids; management blames flat spots on wheels

    A southbound Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) train carrying around a thousand commuters was halted at Santolan Station on Friday, February 2, after its wheels skidded on the rails. In an advisory, MRT-3 media relations officer Aly Narvaez said flat spots on the defective train's wheels were reported to have caused the train to slip and skid on the rail at4:40 p.m. The train was forced to halt and offload approximately 1,000 passengers at the station, Narvaez said.
