Art by women

As part of Women’s Day celebrations, the Kerala Museum, Edappally, is hosting a campaign that celebrates Art+Feminism 2019, a global initiative by Wikipedia launched to address the gender gap on Wikipedia. The campaign aims at improving the coverage of cis and transgender women, non-binary folks, feminism and arts on Wikipedia.

Apart from the edithathon training sessions and art-related discussions, women painters in Kerala — Anju Acharya, Anu Zafaran, Babitha Rajiv, Biji K.C., Bindhi Rajagopal, Jiji Ajith, Sara Hussain, Sreeja Pallam, Uthara Remesh, Reshmi Sreedhar, Meera Krishna, Celin Jacob, Devu G.R., Minimol Min, Minnu Babu P., Smija Vijayan, Aswathy Rathish, Soumya V.N., Kripa Lalu, Gopika S. Nair, and Yamini Mohan — are exhibiting their art works in a group show titled SHE at the Kerala Museum.

The paintings will be on display till March 10 and from 10 am to 6 pm.
