Yusuf Arakkal's last hurrah is Bengaluru centrepiece?

Bengaluru: The renowned artist, Yusuf Arakkal, who  passed away in October 2016, will find pride of place in Bengaluru’s cultural heritage. "Science and Technology Takes Off," one of his final major works, is being unveiled at Rangoli Metro Art Centre on M.G. Road on Wednesday, Bengaluru Development Minister K.J. George. The event is a Biocon initiative.

During the course of his final conversations with this reporter, Arakkal would discuss, with great pride, a work-in-progress he held very close to his heart. Commissioned by his dear friend, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, the work was to be placed outside Visvesvaraya Technological Museum. Circumstances, however, prevented this from taking place and the work never made it to the museum. Is it finally receiving its rightful place?
