Hyderabad: A 34-year-old techie who harassed a private sector employee to marry him despite being engaged to another woman, a 23-year-old private sector employee who stalked a 34-year-old housewife and lured her 13-year-old daughter to talk to him on the phone, a 19- year-old student, who stalked an Intermediate student in the name of love and assaulted her after she refused to go with him on his bike and 15 others, including a minor, who were arrested by Rachakonda SHE teams were counselled by police on Sunday.
The Rachakonda SHE teams booked 23 cases including 13 petty cases and 10 FIRs against eve-teasers across the commissionerate. They were counselled in the presence of their families.
Bhaskar Goud, a techie from Alwal, was harassing a 24-year-old private sector employee who stays in his neighbourhood. “After knowing his character she started avoiding him. Since then he was harassing her. Though he got engaged to another girl he was compelling her to marry him,” Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagawat said. Following a complaint at Neredmet police station he was arrested.
D. Radhakrishna, 19, was harassing an Inter student. When she and her mother were going to post office, Radha-krishna intercepted them and tried to make her sit on his bike. When she refused he assaulted her. Medipally police arrested him.
