Trisha’s new film with director Saravanan with story penned AR Murugadoss has got its title now. The heroine-centric film is titled Raangi, which in colloquial Tamil refers to a headstrong girl with loads of attitude. Trisha may be playing a bold character in the movie. Raangi is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Trisha took to her twitter and posted a pooja picture of the clapboard revealing the title.
Meanwhile, speculation runs high that Trisha has been approached for the Tamil remake of Sriram Raghavan’s Bollywood hit Andhadhun. The B’town crime drama has Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte and veteran Tabu in pivotal roles. Earlier Siddharth already had evinced his interest to feature in the K’town remake. A source close to Trisha reveals that there’s no such development. But the source adds that a top south producer who has been remaking Hindi films in Tamil is in talks with Trisha for the remake of Taapsee-Amitabh Bachchan starrer Badla. And if insiders are to be believed, a special screening of Badla was also arranged for the 96 star in Chennai when the movie hit the marquee last month.
